My visiting St Pat’s

Today I visted St Patrick’s. I did this because I needed to drop off my uniform so I thought that I should give back Miss Trask’s Ipod cover as well. So I went to her class, (honestly I was really really nervous) When I stepped inside the class room all eyes were on me (You can see why I was nervous now) I smiled, I didn’t know what else to do. All of a sudden people started to say Hello or Hi to me. I did not expected that, but I said my hello’s anyway. After all the commotion, I told Miss Trask that I thought she might want this *shows her the Ipod cover. She laughed and said she didn’t even notice that it was gone. I walked over and gave it to her. We had a short conversation with everyone staring. Once the conversation was I over I said my good byes and walked out the door with all the happiness in the world with me. For I just over came a fear that I’ve had for many years.

Thank you St Patrick’s ūüôā

Graduation

The week is coming to an end. School holidays are coming closer and closer. I would usually be pleased about this but I’m not this time. The reason why I feel this way is because once the holidays are here, my school days are over. I’ll be moving to college. I know a lot of people are happy about college but I’m a bit nervous you know. College will obviously be different from school. I won’t see the same people I’ve¬†known¬†most of my life everyday. I won’t see Miss Trask or Miss Garton. The familiar faces at St Patrick’s school, I’ll never see them again, well maybe some of them but most of them I wont.

At the end of 2014 I will be going to Canada. I am going because my Mum lives there with my 2 brothers and sister. To be honest I don’t really want to go. New Zealand is so familiar to me and there are a lot of people I care here, and I don’t want to leave them.

I think I speak for all the year 8’s when I say St Patrick’s School is a big part of us. Most of us started when we were 5 years old, others started later through the years. For me I started 4 years ago,in 2008. I started in Miss Burney’s class. The few people I remember starting with are; Breellen Geedye, Sonia Manson, Nathan Wallace, Connor Morgan, Antonio Bateson and Emma Mackey. I remember the book Miss Burney used to read to us. It was called The Faraway Tree. It was a very good book. The good memories from St Pats will always be with me through out my life. I’ll never forget St Patrick’s. I hope I’ll see most of my school mates in the future.

Good bye St Patrick’s.

Nick Jonas= Introducing Me

I’m, I’m good at wasting time
I think lyrics need to rhyme
And you’re not asking
But I’m trying to grow a mustache

I eat cheese, but only on pizza, please
And sometimes on a homemade quesadilla
Otherwise it smells like feet to me
And I, I really like it when the moon looks like a toenail
And I love you when you say my name

If you wanna know
Here it goes
Gonna tell you this
The part of me that’ll show if you’re close
Gonna let you see everything
But remember that you asked for it
I’ll try to do my best to impress
But it’s easier to let you take a guess at the rest
But you wanna hear what lives in my brain
My heart, will you ask for it, for your perusing?
At times confusing, slightly amusing
Introducing me

Doo doo, doo doo doo doo to
Doo doo, doo doo doo doo to
La la la la
La la la la la la la la, da

I never trust a dog to watch my food
And I like to use to the word “dude”
As a noun, or an adverb, or an adjective
And I’ve never really been into cars
I like really cool guitars and superheroes
And checks with lots of zeros on ’em
I love the sound of violins
And making someone smile

If you wanna know
Here it goes
Gonna tell you this
The part of me that’ll show if you’re close
Gonna let you see everything
But remember that you asked for it
I’ll try to do my best to impress
But it’s easier to let you take a guess at the rest
But you wanna hear what lives in my brain
My heart, will you ask for it, for your perusing?
At times confusing, possibly amusing
Introducing me

Well, you probably know more than you ever wanted to
So be careful when you ask next time

So if you wanna know
Here it goes
Gonna tell you this
The part of me that’ll show if you’re close
Gonna let you see everything
But remember that you asked for it
I’ll try to do my best to impress
But it’s easier to let you take a guess at the rest
But you wanna hear what lives in my brain
My heart, will you ask for it, for your perusing?
At times confusing, hopefully amusing

Doo doo, doo doo doo doo to

I put this song as a post because I fell in love with it. Wouldn’t you?! Come on, he’s singing it to a girl, how romantic is that?! I would love that to happen to me. Deep down inside I think all girls would love that to be them, because every girl wants to find happiness. Plus having a guy sing a song to you, would be so awesome. He is also telling her how he feels about things. He’s opening up which (usually) boys never do (No offence boys) I think they don’t open up because they don’t want to be all soft, I think they find it hard to open up. But that’s just my opinion.

Hope you liked the song!! Thank you!!!

Dancing

Dancing, dancing, dancing,dancing.

At school we have been learning to dance to two songs. One is Everything’s gonna be alright now and the other is Gangnam style. In ¬†my opinion I think everybody likes Gangnam style better. We sure do have a lot of fun with it. But I like doing both songs. I’ve become very good at dancing, before we started doing dance and jump jam I was very bad at dancing. Now I think I’m pretty good. My favourite dance move in Everythings gonna right is, the wave. I can’t exactly explain the move but I’m pretty sure we’ll be videoing us dancing so, you’ll see it soon enough.

I thought I’d right this post because I just wanted to show or write to how much I love dancing. So now you know how much I love dancing. ¬†Thanks for reading ūüôā

A Mysterious Young Boy-Part 1

Pandora’s head swung around to see what the commotion was about. Over in the¬†corner¬†of the market, was a boy who looked around her age, racing through the narrow passage way, a few guards were behind him. To Pandora it looked like the boy was being chased by the guards. The boy dashed past Pandora then stopped. He turned his head so his eyes were facing straight at Pandora. He kept his gaze on her then realised he was still being chased and raced off again. All the¬†villagers stared at Pandora, she could see the suspicious looks they were wearing. She stared ¬†back at them, wondering why they were looking at her. ¬†So confused, she ran inside and slammed the door.

The next day she saw the young boy standing outside her house. He just sat there and stared at her, looking amazed and confused. A few days pasted and Pandora always saw the boy outside her house , it was as if he never left, he just stayed there.

Everyday seemed like hours to her, everyone stared at her, it’s as if her life changed as soon as the boy ¬†layed eyes on her. One day she finally found the confidence to walk up to the boy and asked him what was his problem. She asked and he just stared at her smiling. Pandora became annoyed and started yelling. The people of the village gathered around to see what all the yelling was about. Because of that, the boy stood up, grabbed Pandora’s arm and dragged her out of the crowed. As stunned as Pandaora was, she let herself get dragged out of the crowed and into an alley way.¬†

Pandora was shocked at what the boy told her. He went on and on about how she was the Princess of Element and when she was a baby, her parents were killed by the evil witch; Malifent. Pandora asked him what was his name, but out of no where the guards came down the alley way and charged at the boy. With great re-flexing skills, he jumped over them and ran away. The guards looked almost as shocked as Pandora was.

¬†The next day the boy was outside her house “again” but this time came up to the window and asked her to go for a walk with him into the forest. Pandora hesitated, she stared at him for awhile then quietly climbed out the window and went with the boy. They were nearly in the woods when the boy stopped her. He looked into her eyes and told her that what ever happens you have to promise me that you won’t run, no matter what. Pandora could see a lot of emotions in his eyes. Without any questions she¬†nodded and followed the boy. In the middle of the forest was a door. There was nothing attached to it, it was just there by itself. The boy opened the door, a bright light blinded Pandora for awhile. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, what was on the other side of the door gave her the biggest shock of her life. It was the most beautiful place in the world, purple flowers blooming, strange creatures grazing on the greenest grass she’d every seen and an amazing castle. It was covered in¬†diamonds, different shapes and sizes.¬†

JGeeks

Hey Everybody, this group in this video is called JGeeks. They are¬†participating¬†in the famous show called; New Zealand’s Got Talent. I support them, that is the reason why I post music video’s based ¬†on them. I hope you like them as much as I do. They are fantastic dancers, and I can’t believe half the dance moves they do. They move like they own the music. Some day I wish to be good like them. Please comment what you think .I would be happy to see your opinions. Comment a¬†smiley¬†face if you want me to post another JGeeks video.¬†

Athletics

On Tuesday, St Patrick’s had athletics. The event was held at the Paraparaumu Domain. My fellow schoolmates and I walked down to where the event was being held. Once we got there we saw that there were a lot of schools¬†participating in this big event. People had already set up the high jump, long jump and the shot put. We set camp under this not so shady tree. We laid the big blue mat on the grass and the Mr T asked us if¬†we wanted to go for a run around the field. There were some no’s but mostly there yes’s. The run was not that bad but then again a couple of my friends and me walked near the end ūüôā¬†

Soon after, the athletics were about to begin. We sat in a big bunch with the other schools. We were told the rules and to be honest I didn’t get quite a lot of them. What I did hear though, was that this athletics was different from the other ones and also that girls would compete against girls, the same applied to the boys. There were 6 different groups, there was:

Group Yellow

Group Green

Group Orange

Group Blue

Group Pink

Group Red

I was in group yellow with Emma and Vicky. ¬†Our first event was high jump, the instructor split us into two groups according to our surnames. The instructor called us out and we would jump, I was after this very nice girl named Caitlyn, she was from Kenakena, she jumped higher than all of the groups. I jumped 1.10m. I was so nervous when my name got called. I actually thought that my heart would¬†explode¬†out of my chest. They started with 1m and worked there way up. I felt a wave of relief flow over me when I jumped and didn’t hit the pole thing.¬†

Next was shot put, the instructors split us into the same groups, like at high jump. I threw 5.25m on my first go. On my second go I threw 5.80m and on my last throw I threw 6m. The girl that threw the¬†further-est was from Lee-Tara from Raumati South. She threw 18.9m. (That’s really far)

The 100m race was our next event. The instructors called us four at a time. I competed against; Rose Hogg from Paraparaumu school, Sharn Rohloff from Paraparaumu school and Caitlyn from Kenakena. When the instructor called us out I was nervous. Running is not my strongest point. As soon as I heard the “clang” I raced off, At first I was head to head with Sharn ¬†but then she¬†whizzed¬†off past me. When I crossed the finish line I was puffed, one of the timers came up to me and said that I came second and that my time was 14.8 seconds. I was so happy, that I couldn’t stop smiling.¬†

Long jump was next on our events list. This time the instructors split us into three groups. I was in the last group. I don’t remember my first and second go but I remember my last. I jumped 3.69m. I was surprised by this because I pulled a muscle around my thigh and I found it hard to walk. So you can see why it came as a surprise to me. Once that event finished we had a sort of break. Over by the high jump everyone crowed around. At first I didn’t know what they were doing till I saw that there were two year 8 boys still competing¬†one of them was Angus Baker, I don’t know the other boy but he was good. I think he was from¬†Raumati¬†South school. The¬†Raumati South boy broke the record for high jump. He jumped 1.65m. And that is really high.

Discus was our next event. I on my first throw I threw 12.9m and on my last go I threw 16.9m. I think discus was my favourite. I defiantly had fun doing this event in particular.

Finally to finish the day off was the 400m race. The instructor split us in fours again. When I was called up I got this sick feeling in my stomach. My legs were no help either because they were completely exhausted. I tried my hardest at least. I came last but I finished the race which pleased me.

Athletics was pretty awesome for me, I built a load of confidence, partly because of my speech I did, that helped me build more confidence. I’m confident to do¬†almost anything. Athletics is a day that I’ll never forget, and I’m proud of myself for doing my best.¬†
